Raising Awareness of Down syndrome through the High Fives for Kids Foundation

AIA Canada’s High Fives for Kids Foundation continues to provide to charities that help make a difference for the lives of Canadian youth. Kari Hann of Specialty Sales & Marketing reached out to the Foundation to request funding to support an association that is very dear to her, the Halton Down Syndrome Association (HDSA). HDSA provides immeasurable support to families of children with Down syndrome through bursary support and programs such as swimming lessons, music therapy, art therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, an amazing reading program, social events and so much more!

The $1,000 donation provided by the High Fives for Kids Foundation supported HDSA’s annual fundraising event called Go21 on June 16, 2018, where Kari, along with family and friends walked together to raise money and awareness under Team Rowan. “Team Rowan” has won the 2nd place fundraiser award for four years in a row and this year the team raised over $7,500!
